Benzyl Alcohol

Benzyl alcohol has antibacterial, antifungal, antioxidant and stabilising properties, therefore it is used in our formulations as a preservative. It is paraben free and considered natural as it is derived from fruit. At Golden Spice Cosmetics, we use benzyl alcohol at less than 1% in our formulations, which is considered a safe, yet effective amount to prevent growth of unwanted microorganisms, keeping your products fresher for longer!
